2006 Antiques and Artisans Show To Be Held In Providence
Providence, RI (PRWEB) October 12, 2006 -– The First Unitarian Church of Providence, at the corner of Benefit and Benevolent Streets, will be the site of the 2006 Antiques and Artisans Show, to be held on Saturday, October 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
More than two dozen antiques dealers and artisans will be displaying and selling folk art, Americana, quilts, textiles, paintings, fine prints, furniture, clocks, architectural elements, advertising, ephemera, Mission, country accessories, art pottery, glass, hand-crafted and vintage gifts, artwork, wearable art and jewelry in the Atrium and Parish House, just behind the 1816 Meeting House designed by John Holden Greene.
Adding to the day’s interest are two free workshops on antiques and collecting that will be of interest to novice and experienced collectors alike.
A silent auction will be held and refreshments will be available.
This event will benefit the First Unitarian Church, a congregation that dates back to the 1700s. First Unitarian is a metropolitan church with more than 600 members and friends from three states and nearly 300 children enrolled in the religious education program.
There is a suggested donation of $5.00
For early birds, there is an opportunity for early browsing and buying from 9 to 10 a.m. with a $10.00 admission fee.
