The movie, a remake of the 1974 film "The Year Without a Santa Claus," aired on NBC on December 11th. The DVD can now be purchased at any Best Buy, Circuit City or Target retail store.
The Bleeding Edge company principles loved the movie and the light in which the BEGOTHSTM dolls and toys were depicted. "It was awesome! But let it be known that these dolls are not make believe," said Steve Varner, self-professed mad scientist creator of the Bleeding Edge dolls. "This movie will give millions of people the opportunity to see our unique collectible dolls, some maybe for the first time."

BEGOTHSTM fashion dolls appear in the film along side actors John Goodman, Chris Kattan, Carol Kane, Eddie Griffen, Harvey Fierstein and many others. The movie shows that while Santa lives in the cool Artic, he has some catching up to do when it comes to 'cool' toys. Santa is introduced to BEGOTHSTM fashion dolls at a Toy Expo he visits in an attempt to get with the times. The Dolls presented in the movie include 12-inch BEGOTHSTM dolls Hypnotic Gaze from Series 4 and Julia Doom from Series 3. The "teenage BEGOTHSTM referred to in movie are actually the 7-inch vinyl action figures Belladonna and Wormwood from Series 1.

BEGOTHSTM 12-inch fashion dolls have very distinct personalities and rebel gothic looks. All BEGOTHSTM fashion dolls are extremely detailed and include meticulously sewn outfits, metal piercings and unique tattoo-detailed eye makeup. The dolls come pierced and the pierced accessories are not sold separately as stated in the movie.
The product line from this gothic doll and toy maker continues to expand each year since making its first appearance in 2003. Although the "baby BEGOTHS" shown in the movie are not manufactured as of yet, Bleeding Edge carries the Minor Misfits plush dolls. This is a continuation of the wildly popular gothic plush line of Monster babies.
